There it is, in the August 2018 “American Rifleman Magazine.” National Rifle Association Executive Vice President Wayne La Pierre offers to utilize the vast resources of the NRA to provide expert consultation to public and private schools across America to help every school district design its own safety strategy to prevent school violence — for free.
I hope that the state of Maine requires every school district in the state to immediately take advantage of the offer to begin to make Maine schools among the safest in the nation. That is what Maine parents and children, many of them NRA members, deserve.
