GRAY — The Maine Wildlife Park, Route 26, presents popular Maine kids’ singer, Rick Charette, from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 8.
Over 1,000 children and their families have come out each year to hear Charette and see the show under the pines of the park picnic area. This year, Rick will sign autographs and sell CDs after this live show. Bring cameras and lawn chairs.
In addition, Charette will have his latest CD of all original songs available. Titled “Seven Ate Nine,” his 12th album of original kids music contains 16 original new tracks. The album grew from the inspiration he received from his performance tours and workshops with young children throughout the U.S., as well as the arrival of his new granddaughters. Several of the song ideas came from songwriting workshops as children would share ideas from a point of view that only a child could imagine.
With both jazz and pop influences, the new songs stay true to the style and earnest delivery of Charette’s previous albums.
Regular Maine Wildlife Park admission fees will be in effect.
