KINGFIELD — Selectmen are asking residents to share their thoughts and opinions about community goals and visions through a survey.

Creation of the survey was approved by selectmen on August 6. The survey was included in tax bills, which were mailed last week. Administrative Assistant Leanna Targett stated residents who do not receive a tax bill can pick up a copy of the survey at the Town Office.

The survey addresses potential short and long-term economic and community development priorities such as attracting new businesses; growing existing businesses; improving telecommunications; improving public infrastructure; and increasing recycling efforts.

Feedback on recreational trail access, landscaping, facade improvements, event space and other development priorities is also being sought.

“Town officials are very much responsive to what the community wants, however we need citizens to speak out about what is important to them,” stated Targett.

Completed surveys can be dropped off at, or mailed to the Town Office, 38 School Street; Kingfield, ME 04947.
