AUBURN — Muriel Aube Adams, a longtime resident of Auburn, died Saturday, Sept. 8, at Bolster Heights in Auburn.

Born in Lewiston on April 19, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Hector and Florida (Girardin) Aube. Muriel married Earl M. Adams on Feb. 14, 1943, at St. Louis Church.

She worked and volunteered at several local businesses and was given the Presidential Service Award in both 2009 and 2010 for her volunteer work at Central Maine Medical Center.

She valued hard work and independence. She was strong, wise and an inspiration to so many. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Adams, and her son, Michael D. Adams.

She is survived by her son, Harold, and wife, Carol; her daughter-in-law, Martha; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home, 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston, 784-4023. Burial and committal services to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Auburn.
