MEXICO — Charles R. Jamison, 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, at his residence in Mexico, with his family by his side. He was born in Mexico on July 17, 1936, graduated from Mexico High School and served with the U.S. Army.

Charlie worked at the Rumford Paper Mill for many years, and also owned and operated C.R.J. Auto Sales in Mexico for many years. He loved to hunt and fish, go snowmobiling and four-wheeling and attend auto and animal auctions.

He was married in Mexico on March 3, 2005, to Leslie Mills, who survives, of Mexico. Other survivors include daughters Jeannine Summers of Lizella, Ga.; Judy English (Dwight) of Cochran, Ga.; Charlotte Blanchard (Joseph) of Mexico; and Barbie Kilgore (Max) of Hawkinsville, Ga.; brothers Roger Benson and companion, Rita, of West Paris; Ricky Jamison (Corinne) of Arizona; and Randy Glover (Carolle) of Milton; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many brothers- and sisters-in-law.

A celebration of his life will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Eagle’s Club, 13 Oxford Ave., Rumford. In lieu of flowers, please donate in his memory to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, Development Office, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
