NEW GLOUCESTER — Sherwood Pride White, 64, died Sept. 12. He grew up in Pownal, the son of Vernon and Evelyn White and shared his childhood with eight loving siblings.
Sherwood met the love of his life, wife of 45 years, Debbie (Jordan), as a young lad.
Together in love and strength they raised two beautiful daughters, Shona (White) Gonsalves and Chasity White; four vibrant grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, Ava and D.J. who have carried us through these difficult days with Grampa’s guidance.
Recently retired from North Yarmouth Public Works after 17 years and gaining friends aplenty, he will be forever in our hearts.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road, Gray. A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Congregational Church of New Gloucester, 19 Gloucester Hill Road, Gray. Committal will be in Upper Gloucester Cemetery. The Rev. Linda Gard will be the celebrant.
