The annual Bethel Harvestfest celebration took place Saturday on and around the Bethel Common. Chowder prepared by area restaurants was served on the Bethel Common as part of the Chowdah Cookoff. 

Nancy Grover sells cookies at the West Bethel Union Church’s Cookie Walk. In another food-related event, the pie-baking contest winners were: Amateur Traditional: Janet Ramey; Amateur Nontraditional: Tiffany Lego; Professional: Beverly Sylvester, Sudbury Inn.
