Years ago, readers of the Lewiston Evening Journal looked forward to the Saturday columns written by Eloise Jordan. There was always a thirst for the type of local history and lore that Jordan propounded.
That thirst still exists and I am pleased to say that Julie Ann Baumer is a worthy successor to Jordan in the articles that she writes.
I know something about the comparison, you see, because Eloise Jordan was a special friend. Baumer is now special.
