AUBURN — Norman Dubois, 79, of Auburn died at the Hospice House on Monday, Sept. 17, after a battle with cancer.

He was born May 29, 1939, the son of Albert and Florida Nolin Dubois. Norman had his formal education at St. Peter’s School and graduated from St. Dominic’s in 1957. He was always competitive, either in candlepin bowling, golfing, bumper pool or pool. He was a true-hearted Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins fan. He belonged to the Pastime Club, and was president of the Cavalier Club.

Norman totally enjoyed all family get-togethers more than sports. He was also a true socializer. His lifelong job was with his parents and then his brother, Al, at Dubois Furniture. Many knew him as the “meter man.”

He leaves behind his wife, Denise Dubois, of 46 years of marriage; two sons: Paul and wife, Katie, of Turner and Marcel and wife, Carla Rose, of Waterford; and six beautiful granddaughters: Addy, Isla, Quinn, Pieta, Amadea and Cosima; two brothers: Albert and wife, Ethel, and Ronald. Norman also leaves brothers-in-law George and wife, Terry Dubois, and Denis and wife, Dot Dubois; sisters-in-law, Sister Monica Dubois O.P. of Arizona and Monique Dubois of California; and many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. He also leaves many good friends.

He was predeceased by his brothers-in-law Normand and Marcel Dubois, and sisters-in-law Jeannine and Rejeanne Dubois.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Holy Cross Church, Lisbon Street, Lewiston. Arrangements by Funeral Alternatives.
