WEST PARIS – The West Paris Historical Society August meeting had 16 in attendance with a delicious potluck dinner and a meeting afterwards.  There was a discussion on window work, a report from Christine Mitchell on a Maine Historical Commission that the grant the Society applied for was turned down this year but to reapply next year, a report on this year’s calendar sales, a short discussion on this year’s hunter’s breakfast and who to run it and Elaine gave a tour of the museum upstairs and a show and tell to all members.

Tickets were also given out to all members for the fall raffle, a Savage Axis 11xP 22″ Bolt Action with a Weaver KASPA 3 -9 x 40 mm scope mounted and a brown hardwood stock at $5 per ticket.  The drawing will be at the 7 p.m. at the Oct. 15 meeting.

The September meeting was on Monday, Sept. 17, at p.m. with a potluck supper and 7 p.m. meeting and a surprise guest.
