LEWISTON — The box office at The Public Theatre has opened for the 2018-2019 season. Its first production, “Things My Mother Taught Me,” opens Friday, Oct. 19.
The lobby opens at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, for the Opening Night BREWHaHa, a free beer tasting courtesy of Baxter Brewing Co.
In “Things My Mother Taught Me,” by Katherine DiSavino, Olivia and Gabe are taking the “next step” and moving into their first apartment together. Imagine their surprise when their parents “drop by” from 800 miles away with unsolicited advice on life, love and cleaning products! Is an unfurnished, two-bedroom apartment big enough to hold the love, laughter, wisdom and worry of four parents?
Show times are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 19 and 20; at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 and 28; and at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for groups of 10 or more and $5 for youth 18 and under, and are available by calling 207-782-3200 or visiting their website, thepublictheatre.org/.
