PORTLAND – John “Jack” Corliss, 69, of Peru, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Maine Medical Center. He was born April 6, 1949 in Portland.

Jack attended Portland schools, Deering High and Southern Maine Technical College where he earned his Master Electrician’s license.

In 1967, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a PUFL Member of the American Legion.

In 1990, he moved to Dixfield with his best friend, Julie Reid, where they worked together as Corliss Electric since 1993.

Spending time with family, shooting pool, and riding his Harley were some of his favorite pleasures.

Jack is survived by his life companion, Julie Reid, of Peru. His family, Tandra Taylor, husband, Kyle, and family of Biddeford, Jeromi Corliss and companion, Jill Hodgson of Rumford, Shannon Corliss and family of Gardner, Shane Reid, wife, Alyson, and family, of Barneveld, N.Y.; sister, Patricia McKeen, husband, Eldon, and family, of Windham. Jack had 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 27 from 1-4 p.m., at the Webb River Valley Sportsman’s Club, Canton Point Road, in Dixfield, Maine.
