I appeal to all Mainers who are voting in November. I believe that is it necessary to have home care that can provide help to those in need.
I will be voting “yes” on Question 1, for universal home care. It would help those who have financial struggles. For those who have a family member in need of a nursing home, home care would keep family members close.
Last year, I had a grandmother who was in a local nursing facility before she passed. She would have been happy living in her new home that she had just bought. She would have enjoyed being close to her family.
I believe that home care would have done great for her and others like her who want to be close to family.
So I hope others will join me in voting “yes” on Question 1.
