AUBURN — The neighborhood watch meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the 6th Street Congregational Church. The neighborhood watch is sponsored by the Auburn Police Department.
Androscoggin County Democrats to meet
LEWISTON — The regular monthly meeting of the Androscoggin County Democratic Committee will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Democratic Coordinated Campaign Office, 124 Lisbon St.
The focus will be on last-minute to-dos to help candidates, including getting out the vote. They hope to have someone from the Lewiston City Clerk’s Office who can advise of the laws covering elections and answer any questions. Androscoggin County Democrats and all other interested persons may attend.

Learn about voluntering opportunities
GRAY — The Opportunity Alliance invites adults 55-plus to join them for some light refreshments to learn about volunteer opportunities from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Gray Public Library, 5 Hancock St.
Learn about volunteering as a Foster Grandparent in local schools and child development centers with children in need of a mentor, or how to help isolated adults maintain independence through socialization and access to transportation as a Senior Companion.
Volunteer benefits include a non-taxable stipend and mileage reimbursement for those meeting generous income guidelines, training, recognition and the satisfaction of helping those in need.

Seniors to hold music night fundraiser
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Senior Citizens will hold a night of music fundraising event from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26, at the Lewsiton Armory, 65 Central Ave. Doors open at 6. Musical duo Sruli and Lisa will perform live, there will be a 50/50 raffle and refreshments.
Tickets are $10 per person, $8 for children under 12 and are available at the Lewiston Senior Citizens office and at the door.
