BANGOR (WGME) — A babysitter was arrested after police say they found her drunk on the street and not wearing pants, socks or shoes.

Police were responding to a call Tuesday about a disturbance on Ohio Street. When they got there, they said they found 25-year-old Lauren Gelinas under the influence.

Police said she told them she was babysitting on that street, and police found two kids younger than five in distress and in unsafe conditions.

DHHS was called, and Gelinas was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
