Church moves location of winter services

PHILLIPS — The Phillips Community Church will move services for the winter to the Phillips Community House, 31 Main St., beginning Sunday, Oct. 28. Service time remains the same, at 10:45 a.m.

Parish to host concert fundraiser

RUMFORD — The Parish of the Holy Savior Church Hall will host a concert by Peter Koch and Andy St.Pierre at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2.

The concert is a fundraiser for the people of Haiti. All proceeds will go to Orella Poirier’s mission. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for children 12 and younger.

RUMFORD — Friends of Black Mountain presents the sixth annual Live Auction to benefit Black Mountain of Maine on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 39 Glover Road.

Doors open at 4:30 p.m., auction begins at 6. Light fare will be provided from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. by Last Run Pub, open and in full gear.

Church to hold steeple fundraiser

RUMFORD — Rumford Point Church will hold a fundraiser with live music and dancing from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Rumford Center Meeting House on Route 2.

Proceeds will benefit the church’s steeple repair fund. Entertainment will be The Cobblestones from western Maine. In addition to live music, there will be a 50/50, door prizes, Maine basket raffle, photo quilt raffle and food sale.

Admission is $10 per person.

The workshop is titled Engaging Customers with Your Values and Your Story. It’s designed to teach new ways to engage potential customers. Attendees can can learn ways to discover their values, identify their brand’s personality and develop a story for their business.
