The Republican 2019 proposed budget is out. It contains more big tax cuts for corporations and banks and small tax cuts for working class families. It includes cuts to Social Security, Medicare Medicaid and veterans benefits. They also plan to raise the age for Medicare benefits to start at 67 instead of 65. Republican Bruce Poliquin votes according to his party’s wishes.

People need to stop voting against themselves. Ponder the following:

If you have Obamacare, thank Democrats.

If you receive Social Security benefits, thank Democrats.

If you have Medicare, thank Democrats.

If you receive veteran’s benefits, thank Democrats.

If you have a Pell Grant, thank Democrats.

Thank Democrats also for a 40-hour work week/vacation pay.

Please get out and vote on Nov 6.

I will vote for Jared Golden for U.S. Congress because I can trust him to fight to keep the above benefits that Mainers have paid into and earned.
