‘Celtic Revival’ program at Jay church

JAY — The Sky Family from Prince Edward Island, Canada, will perform their acclaimed program, “Celtic Revival,” at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, and at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Jay Baptist Church.

“It promises to be an exciting, energetic program,” Dot White of Jay, one of the organizers, said. There will be Celtic music, Riverdance style, Irish stepdance and “inspiring Gospel songs,” she said.

The Gem to show skiing films

BETHEL — The Gem Theater, 23 Cross St., will present a screeening of Matchstick Production’s films “ALL IN” and “HOJI” on Saturday, Nov. 10.

RFA sponsors student film screening

RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts is sponsoring the ninth and 10th grades of the Rangeley Lakes Regional School to attend a stage production of “Refuge * Malja * ????” at Portland Stage on Wednesday, Nov. 14.

When a Jewish-American war photographer feels compelled to assist a young refugee who steps in front of her camera, she calls an old friend to translate but hesitates to reveal why she is so drawn to the boy. This decade-spanning drama explores how we each define and find our own malja (refuge).
