Jean M. Noreika
1929 – 2018

AUBURN – Jean M. Noreika, age 89, of Durham, formerly of Bridgeport, Conn., beloved wife of the late Frank J. Noreika Sr., died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, with her son, Frank and family by her side.

She was a graduate of both St. Charles Elementary School and Ss. Cyril and Methodius School. Jean was employed at Harley Hardware, Harvey Hubbell and Avco Lycoming, before leaving to become a fulltime homemaker, raising her son, Frank Jr. She took great pride in being able to be a fulltime mom to her son.  Jean also loved to travel with her family. Most of all, Jean loved time spent with her family.

Survivors include her son, Frank Noreika Jr. and his wife, Stacey and their children, Christopher and Julia of Durham; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene J. McSweeney and Margaret Walsh McSweeney; siblings Eugene Jr., Margie, and Bobby McSweeney.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 3, at 10 a.m., meeting DIRECTLY at St. Andrew’s Church, 395 Anton Street, Bridgeport, Conn., with interment to follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call Friday, November 2, from 4-7 p.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 S Benson Road, Fairfield.
