Rain continued to disrupt the high school football playoff schedule on Friday as Leavitt postponed, and moved, its Class C South semifinal, while Dirigo moved its game time up an hour.
The Class E semifinal between No. 2 Dirigo and No. 3 Maranacook was moved to a 6 p.m. kickoff on Friday night at Harlow Park.
Top-seeded Leavitt will host fourth-seeded Cape Elizabeth at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lewiston High School. With rain forecast to continue into Saturday, school officials moved the game out of concern for safety and field conditions at Leavitt’s Libby Field. Lewiston’s Don Roux Field has artificial turf.
As of noon on Friday, two other local games remained on as scheduled for Friday night. No. 4 Edward Little meets No. 1 Portland at 6 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Stadium in an A North semifinal. In Class D South, No. 7 Oak Hill travels to No. 6 Madison for a semifinal at 7 p.m. at Rudman Field.
