LEWISTON — The Lewiston Salvation Army will provide a home cooked Thanksgiving meal for individuals and families from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at 67 Park Street.

“We are grateful that we are able to provide a meal and comfort to our neighbors faced with challenging times,” said Capt. DeAnna Street, Corps Commanding Officer.

The Thanksgiving dinner is open to the public. Space is limited, and reservations are required by contacting Jim Thompson at 207-783-0801.

FARMINGTON — The Farmington Baptist Church serves free fellowship luncheons at noon on the third Sunday of the month at 194 Whittier Road.

NEW GLOUCESTER — A buffet style bean supper will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Amvets Post home on Route 100. A turkey raffle will follow at 7 p.m.

GRAY — The Good Shepherd Methodist Church, 151 West Gray Road, will host a bigger and better annual Holiday Craft Fair from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17.

There will be lots of gifts, handcrafts, a cookie walk, food, silent auction, books, attic treasures, vendors and more.

WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church members are taking orders for the annual Thanksgiving pie sale.

Pies will be sold by pre-orders only. Pick-up at the church will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 21.

Traditional 9-inch pies, pumpkin or apple, are priced at $10 each, and others are $12 each, including mince, pecan, lemon meringue or berry.

WATERFORD — Waterford Sports & Recreation will host its monthly community luncheon at noon Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Wilkins House on Plummer Hill Road.

The last luncheon will be Dec. 18.

RUMFORD — On Thanksgiving day, the Rumford Eagles will sponsor a free dinner for community veterans and elderly at 129 Rumford Ave.

Enjoy food, friends and football, with appetizers served on Nov. 22 between 1 and 3 p.m., followed by a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings and desserts.

For locals who are homebound and cannot attend, they can deliver a Thanksgiving meal. Sign up by Monday, Nov. 19, on the signup sheet at the Rumford Eagles, or call 603-455-6180.

LITCHFIELD — Litchfield Sportsmen’s Club will serve Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 22, on Hallowell Road. Doors open at 11 a.m., and the meal will be served 1 p.m.

There is no charge for dinner, however, attendees are asked to bring a side dish or dessert. Turkey, potatoes, gravy and beverages will be provided. Reservations are not necessary, and there is no sign up for food to bring; guests should bring their favorite Thanksgiving dish or dessert.

2018 marks the ninth year that Thanksgiving Dinner has been served at the Litchfield Sportsmen’s Club. Singles, people without family and entire families who don’t have enough room in their home have attended in the past. Everyone is welcomed to dinner.

Following dinner will be a music jam, so musicians may bring their voices and instruments.

The clubhouse is handicapped-accessible, and there is plenty of free parking.
