Danville Grange to meet, have potluck

AUBURN — Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, for a potluck supper. The business meeting begins at 7, followed by bingo.

Members are reminded to bring prizes for bingo, as well as clipped coupons for veterans and donations for PAL.

All members and guests are invited.

Cafe to show food documentary

LEWISTON — The Ark & Olive Branch Cafe will be showing a documentary, “Eating You Alive,” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27.

The documentary is about revealing the truth behind why Americans are so sick and what they can do about it. (This documentary is not necessarily the views of The Ark & Olive Branch Café.)

Festival of Trees at Johnson Hall

GARDINER — Johnson Hall will hold its second annual Festival of Trees event in downtown Gardiner.

There will be up to 30-plus trees, all decorated by local donors, plus items on, around and under the trees. It is free to the public to view our trees. Folks who would like a chance to win a tree can purchase raffle tickets.

Hours for this event are from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 30; and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 1.

Knitting Knights to convene 

LEWISTON — Lewiston Pubic Library has announced will host the Knitting Knights from 5 to 6:30 p.m. every other Wednesday in the Jeanne Couture Room.

All ages and skill levels are welcome, and no registration is required. Library staff will be available to teach new knitters, and welcome experienced knitters to share their knowledge and skills. Bottled water and hot tea will be provided, and some supplies will be available for beginners.
