TOPSHAM — A Sabattus man was shot in a Topsham hunting incident Saturday morning.
Joshua Stark, 25, was shot in the hip around 7:30 a.m. while he was walking under a power line on Cathance Road, according to the Maine Warden Service.
Stark’s girlfriend, Sasha Leslie, 21, of Sabattus, was walking behind Stark. Wardens said Leslie slipped on ice, causing her shotgun to discharge.
Stark was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Wardens said he is expected to survive.
