It is about time that Maine will finally have a governor that residents can be proud of, one who abides by the will of the people expressed at the ballot box.
Governor-elect Janet Mills said the tone and the message coming from inside the governor’s office is going to change dramatically and in a positive fashion. Alternative energy sources that will benefit Maine citizens will be considered before those that benefit other states. Solar energy, a long-time victim during the past eight years of the present short-sighted governor, will, hopefully, continue to be utilized and emphasized to reduce Maine’s carbon footprint.
Mainers can now look forward and do so with a bright, patriotic new congressman — Jared Golden — one who will not hide from his constituents, or his voting record.
It’s about time.
