Fernald F. Shaw
1924 – 2018
WASHOUGAL, Wash. – Fernald F. Shaw, 94, of Washougal, Wash., formerly of Mechanic Falls passed away on Nov.10, 2018. He was born in South Paris on Nov. 1, 1924 the son of Francis and Mildred Fernald Shaw. He served in the U.S. Army. Fernald retired from Marcal Paper Mill in Mechanic Falls after many years of employment. He was a member of the Floyd-Harlow VFW Post 9787 in South Paris and the American Legion Post 150 in Mechanic Falls.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Cheri Shaw of Washougal, Wash.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Junior Shaw and his wife, Jean, of Lewiston. He was predeceased by his son, Robert F. Shaw; and his wife Helen in 2015.
Interment will be in the spring at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.
