Joseph “Albert” DuBois

1936 – 2018

LEWISTON – Joseph “Albert” DuBois, age 82, died of cardiac complications on Nov. 25, 2018, in Lewiston, Maine.

Albert is survived by his wife, Ethel Costa DuBois, of Lewiston, his daughter, Diane Leclair and husband Laurier Leclair of San Antonio, Texas; his daughter, Lorraine DuBois and husband Leon Kimball of Minot, his son Robert DuBois, of Lewiston; his five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and his brother Ronald, of Lewiston. He was preceded in death by his brother Norman DuBois, Auburn, of his Parents Albert and Florida DuBois; his twin sons Mark and Michael DuBois, Daughter-in-Law Lorena DuBois.

Albert was born on Feb. 5, 1936 in Lewiston, Maine, to parents Albert and Florida DuBois.He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1954 with continued college courses in business administration. He entered military service in 1954 with a tour in France where he served as a French-English interpreter. He was a championship team defenseman for the USAF French Soccer Team 1958. Post military duty he continued to support the family business as part owner, DuBois Furniture., where he worked for more than 52 years.

Albert was a great family man and a loving father. He married Ethel Costa in 1956 and the couple had five children together, including twins, who died in infancy.

Albert was an active man who loved and enjoyed New England sports. He enjoyed travel, his French Heritage, and his dogs, especially Moxie. His family and friends will always remember him as a most loving, caring and protective person. He is honored for his strength, character and love for his family.

Funeral services honoring Albert’s life will be held 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 3, at the funeral home committal prayers to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery concluding with military honors.

Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday Dec. 2 from 4-6 p.m., at the PINETTE DILLINGHAM & LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
