BRUNSWICK – Alison M. Ross, 90, of Brunswick, passed away on Nov. 24, 2018. She was born on Feb. 4, 1928 in Gorham, the eldest daughter of Willis and Pauline (Mangitan) Allen.

She graduated from Lisbon Falls High School and married Gordon W. Ross in 1946. She worked as a secretary all of her adult life.

Alison was an avid reader and a lifelong patron of the Lisbon Library.  She enjoyed gardening, long walks and road trip adventures with her sister, Cynthia and her husband, Jack. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and always had a jigsaw puzzle on the card table. Her passion was cross stitch and her masterpiece was a large, beautiful cross stitch quilt, which took years to plan and create.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Kathleen; sister, Ruth Cameron and brothers, Willis Allen and Edwin Allen.

Alison was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by many, especially by her daughter, Diane.

Alison is survived by daughter, Diane MacLaren; sister, Cynthia Swing and brother-in-law, James Cameron of Wollaston, Mass., sister-in-law, Marion Allen of Harpswell; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private, graveside service will be held in the spring of 2019, at Hillside Cemetery in Lisbon Falls.
