AUBURN – Gertrude A. Huard, 92, of Auburn, formerly of Randall Road in Lewiston, died at the Clover Manor in Auburn on Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, with her husband and family at her side. She was born in Lewiston on July 20, 1926, the daughter of Aime and Cordelia Gagne Richard.

Educated in local schools, Gert worked as a stitcher for local shoe shops.  Gert loved to travel, and was always known to be wearing a beautiful scarf around her neck. She married the love of her life, Armand Huard, in 1970.

Survivors include her husband of Auburn; one sister, Jaqueline Bisson of Auburn; a stepson, Anthony Huard of New Jersey; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Lorette, Rita, and Lucienne, and two brothers, George and Armand Richard.

Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home on Friday, 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., followed by a Liturgy of the Word Service at 10:30 a.m. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
