Adult ed classes for next semester announced

PARIS — Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education has announced classes for the next semester. Classes will be held at Buckfield Junior-Senior High School, 160 Morrill St., Buckfield.

Tuesday, Jan. 22:

YOGA Hacks for Real Life I, from 7 to 8 p.m. for seven weeks with Heidi Durgin. Bring a yoga mat and water bottle. Cost is $50. 

Wednesday, Jan. 30:

Gold Prospecting — An Introduction, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., one evening only, with Kevin Frost. Cost is $35.

Woodworking Basics, from 5 to 8 p.m. for six weeks with John Bartlett. Bring safety glasses, wear closed-toe footwear and gloves appropriate for working with wood. Cost is $50.

Tuesday, Feb. 5:

Computer Basics, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. for two weeks with Teresa Drag. Cost is $54.

Electrical Wiring for the Homeowner, from 6 to 8 p.m. for 10 weeks with Chris Summers. Cost is $79. 

Wednesday, Feb. 6:

Basic Watercolors, from 5 to 7 p.m. for four weeks with Lynn Driscoll. All materials provided by the instructor. Cost is $80.

Budgeting Basics, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., one evening only, with Chris Davis. Class is free.

What Veterans Should Know — Section I, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for five weeks with Rick Nugent. Class is free.

Thursday, Feb 7:

Karate I, from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. for six weeks with Teresa Drag. Cost is $49.

Tuesday, Feb. 12:

Substitute Teacher Training, from 4 to 6 p.m., one evening only, with Patrick Hartnett. Class is free.

Wednesday, Feb. 27:

Reiki — Treat Yourself, from 6 to 8 p.m. for four weeks with Mary Jo DeBenedetto. Cost is $29.

Wilderness & Emergency Preparedness, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for two weeks with Kevin Frost. Cost is $40.
