The Women’s Literary Union invites people to celebrate “Twelfth Night” from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, in the grand splendor of Auburn’s historic Foss Mansion, 19 Elm St. While delighting in the festively decorated rooms, savor a light and delicious seasonal buffet with beverages, including wassail. Enjoy the beautiful musical sounds of the Maine Music Society Chamber Singers, directed by John Corrie, and the woodwind quintet, LA Winds. Be transported back in time for an evening of seasonal merriment. The event is a fundraiser for The Women’s Literary Union and MMS. Satellite parking is available at the Community Little Theatre. Snow date is Sunday, Jan. 6. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased by calling 207-333-3386 or online at www.mainemusicsociety.org.
