FRYEBURG — The Fryeburg Fire Department responded Tuesday afternoon to a tractor-trailer that caught fire on West Fryeburg Road.

Crews responded to the fire around 3:30 p.m. Deputy Fire Chief Chett Charette said the engulfed tractor-trailer was close to a building on Green Thumb Farms, and crews pushed the burning vehicle away from the building.

The tractor-trailer was unoccupied, and as of 4:30 p.m., crews were still on scene, working to overhaul the vehicle. Overhauling is the process of examining the smouldering fire for flare-ups and removing toxins from the scene.
