PARIS — Candice Jack of Oxford has retired as an Oxford County regional Communications Center dispatcher after more than 15 years.

Wasting no time, she accepted a position with the Paris Police Department.

“The Paris Police Department wants to welcome Oxford resident, Candice Jack, to our family as she has accepted an Administrative Assistant position with the department, replacing long-time Assistant Shirley Johnson, who will be retiring in January,” said Paris Police Chief Michael Dailey.

“Candice brings with her over 15-years of experience as a 9-1-1 dispatcher with the Oxford County Regional Communications Center and over 20 years of experience working directly with the public. In addition to her duties here at the police department, Candice will continue to provide hands-on support to the Special Olympics and Team Hailey Hugs (www.haileyhugs.org), a locally developed program helping children who are stricken with childhood cancers.

Jack will also be working directly with the Paris Town Office in support of current community outreach programs, such as Toys for Tots and the Paris Community Day and will assist in the researching and development of new public relation type activities and events, Dailey said.

“Although she will be greatly missed in her role as a dispatcher, we are excited that she is able to join our team here at the Paris Police Department”
