SOUTH PARIS – Dana Earl Hill, 31, of South Paris died, Jan. 1, 2019 at his home in South Paris.

He was born on July 28, 1987, in Norway, the son of Dana E. Skillings and Jessica Lynn Hill.

Dana graduated from Buckfield High School in 2006. He held various jobs, but primarily as a painter and most recently as a cook at the Market Square restaurant in South Paris.

He loved playing disc golf, PoGo, playing his guitar, and being in the outdoors. His greatest passion was time spent with longtime companion, Heather Lynn Bickford and their children, Emily and Maddilynn Hope Hill.

He is survived by his children; his father, Dana Skillings and his companion, Mary Coburn of Sebago; his biological mother, Jessica Marin and her husband, Richard of Bethel; second parents, Julie and Jenny Saunders of Sumner; a brother, Clifford “CJ” Skillings of Sumner; a sister, Nicole Saunders of Sumner; maternal grandfather, Clifford Hill of North Lovell; maternal grandmother, Sandra Page of South Paris; “other grandparents,” Pauline and Andrew Saunders of Buckfield; good friend, Nathan “Woody” Wade of Buckfield; many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Stanley M. and Glenna Skillings, Jr.

A co-celebration of his and Heather Bickford’s lives will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, in the Buckfield High School gymnasium.
