AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library, 45 Winthrop St., will host an Open Mic Night at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4.

Sign-ups for mic slots will start at 5:45 p.m. Spoken word performances will be allowed five minutes; musical performances will be allowed two songs or eight minutes, whichever comes first. Time slots will be given in the order in which they appear on the sign-up sheet, with the final performance starting at 7:40 p.m.

Due to the unpredictable nature of community performances, this event may have strong language and mature content. While all ages are welcome to watch and/or participate, parental discretion is advised.

Anyone who would like to be a featured poet at the April Open Mic Poetry Night should contact Julie at the library for more information.

As with all of Lithgow’s events, this event is free and open to the public.

Snow date is Feb. 11.
