AUBURN – Paulette M. Gagnon, 71, of Auburn, died on Jan. 4, 2019, at home, following a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born in Fort Smith, Ark., and later moved to Maine with her family. She was born on March 26,1947, to the late Paul and Betty (Sallee) Croteau. She worked at Wal-Mart in Auburn for the past 13 years in the shoe department. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-granddaughter. She also enjoyed getting together with sisters and a brother. She loved spending time with her friends and when she was able she loved just to get in her car and go for a ride. Her favorite time of year was Christmas Eve when she spent time with family. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Spencer and husband, Charles; son, Michael Gagnon; three sisters, Joyce Soule and husband, Alan, Sue Lebrun and husband, Normand, and Lisa Patnaude and husband, Tim; two brothers, Jerry Croteau and wife, Cathy, and Mark Croteau. She had three grandchildren, Robert Pomerleau Jr., Jessica Pomerleau, and Ashley Gagnon; one great-granddaughter, Jayla Pomerleau. She was also know as “Gram” and “GG”. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Mary Morin.
