LEWISTON — A local man sustained stab wounds to his chest and abdomen Tuesday night at an apartment somewhere on Pine Street.
Police said Matthew Gammon, 36, was in a St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center parking lot and reported he was stabbed during a fight shortly before 11 p.m.
He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
Detectives are investigating the incident.
Conflicting statements given to police have created uncertainty about what happened and where.
Police had made no arrests as of Wednesday afternoon.
