The Darling Automobile company is making extensive renovations in the sales department on Turner Street. It is expected that repairs will be in readiness for the spring openings.

50 years ago: 1969

Stan Davis will combine his talents as a storyteller and magician on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Children’s Department at the Auburn Public Library. Davis says that many years ago storytelling, theater and magic were not separate arts. Audiences painted pictures in their minds instead of looking at television.

25 years ago: 1994

“Jazz Up Your Winter” with The Public Theatre is the subject of a Horizon55 educational program slated today from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Horizon55 Senior Health Information Center at Lewiston Mall. Christopher Sharlo, director of The Public Theatre, will talk about the theater’s upcoming events.
