HEBRON – Wallace L. “Dougie” Douglas, 50, of Hebron, Maine, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

Dougie lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019.

Dougie was born in Brunswick, Maine, on May 17, 1968. He loved hunting, camping, time at the race track and a cold one with family and friends. For most of his working career he loved concrete work and poured a lot of it.

He and his wife, Cindy, built their home from the ground up in Hebron where they resided for 30-plus years.

Dougie was predeceased by his father, Wendell Douglas. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Douglas; his wife, Cindy Douglas, who was his caretaker throughout this journey; along with three daughters, Dallas Douglas, Shauna Baker and her husband, Mike Rawlings, and Ashlie Baker and her, fiancé, Shawn Vehue. Dougie also left behind three grandchildren whom he cherished, Mckenzie Glass, Dylan and Dru Rawlings; five siblings, Mary Lou and her husband, Mike, Tim and his wife, Kathy, Becky and her husband, Ray, Debbie, Billy and his wife, Grace.

Dougie has extended family and friends who will deeply miss him. He will forever be in our hearts: Until we meet again.

We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Stephens Memorial Hospital, the Beacon Hospice staff as we went on the final journey with our Dougie, they all went above and beyond.
