WESTFIELD, Mass. – Eva Mae Ducheney, 98, a resident of Westfield, Mass., formerly of Livermore Falls. She was born June 29, 1920, in Rumford, the daughter of John and Yvonne (Cote) Soucy.

She was educated in Rumford and a 1939 graduate of Stephens High School. She worked as a secretary for Dr. Courville, in Rumford, and a bookkeeper for Lamey-Wellehan, also in Rumford. She went to Pelletier Beauty School and worked as a hairdresser from 1948, until her retirement. Eva was married to William Ducheney, who died in 1970. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church and member of the Daughters of Isabella before moving to Westfield, Mass., to be closer to her family. She enjoyed playing cribbage, spending time with her many friends, but above all else, spending time with her family who were the joy of life, along with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Ducheney and wife, Suzanne and Michael Ducheney and wife, Peggy, all of Westfield, Mass.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; her brother, J. Robert Soucy of Bonita Springs, Fla.; niece, Elyse End and husband, Bill of Belgrade, Mont., nephew, John Soucy and wife, Laurie H. of Rumford and Ducheney nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and sister-in-law, Theresa Soucy.

A graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls, will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls.
