Sun Journal’s top sports stories of 2020
Obviously, the biggest sports story of 2020 in the Sun Journal's coverage area was the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. For our year in review, we decided instead to count down the other top stories of the year.

The Colisee changed hands on April 1 as the Maine Nordiques owner purchased the arena from Jim Cain and Firland Management.

Johnny Clark's first 250 win occurred in front of hundreds of fans rather than the usual thousands. "It’s still the Oxford 250. It’s awesome. I’m just tickled.”

Ruby Haylock, at 15 years old, won the Maine State Golf Association's Women's Amateur on the first playoff hole, defeating 2018 champion Bailey Plourde. The Leavitt star also won a second straight MPA individual championship.
