FARMINGTON — Regional School Unit 9 is seeking candidates for an interview panel to assist with selecting a superintendent.

Monique Poulin is interim superintendent after transitioning from her position in December as Mt. Blue High School principal when former Superintendent Tina Meserve resigned.

The interview panel will be comprised of 11 members representing administrators, teachers, parents, support staff and community members.

RSU 9 board Chairwoman Angela LeClair said the panel will work with the superintendent search committee throughout the interview process.

“Panelists will attend training about confidentiality in the hiring process and bias in the hiring process and then will sit in on interviews with the candidates and participate in post-interview discussions with the Board Superintendent Search Committee (7 member committee),” LeClair said in an email. “Interview panelists have no other responsibilities.”

The superintendent search committee is comprised of board members Angela LeClair of Wilton, Jeff Harris of New Sharon, Jesse Sillanpaa of Industry, Lisa Laflin of New Vineyard, Craig Stickney of Chesterville, Kirk Doyle of Farmington and Debbie Smith of Weld.

Those are interested in joining the interview panel must fill out a questionnaire, available on the district’s website at https://www.mtbluersd.org/ by Tuesday. The questionnaire is also available to fill out in-person at town offices in Chesterville, Farmington, Industry, New Sharon, New Vineyard, Starks, Temple, Vienna, Weld and Wilton.

Board members serving on the search committee will select interview panelists and notify those selected during the week of Feb. 22, LeClair said.
