Richard Moore

LEWISTON – Richard Moore died peacefully on Feb. 5, 2021 with his family by his side. He was the son of Leo and Lucienne of Lisbon, where he spent his childhood.

He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Artillery Branch and was a proud veteran for the rest of his life. After being honorably discharged, he married his cherished love, Claire. Together they raised a family, shared life’s gifts and challenges, and made precious memories for over 63 years. He was always a hard worker, who became a successful businessman owning and operating Caron’s Body Shop Inc. for many years until his retirement.

Richard is survived by his wife Claire; his children Linda (David), Carol (Marcel), Brian (Dawn); his grandchildren Angela (Adam), Kevin (Dianna), Keith (Michelle), and Kristen (James); his great-grandchildren Tanner, Brylee, Everlee, Vaughn, Swindon, Welles, and Lahnyx; his sister Christine; his brothers Albert (Linda) and Normand (Sue), and sister-in-law Laurette.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers Leo and Robert, his sister Constance; and his granddaughter Kim.

A devout Catholic, Richard lived his faith selflessly. He will always be greatly missed, but his love and example shine brightly in our hearts.

A private service will be held in Lewiston at a later date.

Donations may be made in his memory to:
