Laurie Bailey
MINOT – Laurie Bailey went to be with her Lord March 5, 2021.Laurie lived a life of faith, love, and service. Inspired by her love of the Lord and belief in the Bible, she taught for decades in local schools, and invested thousands of hours of her love and support helping those in need locally and around the world, sharing the love of God that had changed her life. She was devoted to her family both near and far, and always found a way to bring others into her joy with legendary Christmas parties, spontaneous adventures, trips to the ocean, or her favorite evening walks. Laurie showed such grace and hope throughout the time of her illness, and it will forever inspire us. She was loved by so many, and we will miss her tremendously. A public memorial service will be held March 27, 11:00 a.m. at East Auburn Baptist Church.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
