The music of John Dowland, an English Renaissance composer, will be performed at the Oasis of Music from 12:30-1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 17, at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston.

Greg Boardman on violin, Scott Vaillancourt on organ, and Terrence Karn on hand and small mallet percussion will perform their arrangements of selections from Dowland’s “Lachrimae,” or “Seven Tears,” a collection of airs and dance tunes originally published in 1604 for five viols and lute.

The Oasis of Music is held held in the downstairs chapel of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. Admission is free, with donations accepted. COVID restrictions of mask-wearing, social distancing are observed with a maximum number of attendees set at 35. For more information call (207) 344-3106.
