Erika Theberge

LEWISTON – Erika Theberge, 83, died March 15, 2021, at St Mary’s D’Youville nursing home.

Born, Sept. 11, 1937 one of 14 children, and raised in Aschaffenburg, Germany, Erika was working with American families stationed on the Army base there, when she met the love of her life, Army Specialist, Norman Theberge. They were married and began their family in Germany, but in 1959 moved back to Norman’s home state and continued their family in Lewiston.

During her many years in Lewiston, Erika belonged to a prestigious group of German ladies that met for meals, discussion, volunteering, and friendship bonds that lasted a lifetime.

Erika had a passion for growing flowers, cultivating flowerbeds annually throughout the yard, and raising beautiful indoor plants. Although she loved them all, a favorite was pink peonies; pink was her favorite color.

Erika was a strong, intelligent, lady with a great sense of humor and the sweetest personality you could ever want to meet.

Erika is survived by her four children, John Theberge, Lewiston, Alan Theberge, Lewiston, Lorraine (Theberge) Patriarca, Los Angeles, and Mark Theberge, Lewiston; four grandchildren, Erika Thomas, Santa Rosa, Calif., Andrea Forster, Los Angeles, Benjamin Theberge, Stamford, Conn., and Nathaniel Theberge, Lewiston; two great-grandchildren, Sindel Theberge, Lewiston and Zachary Thomas, Santa Rosa, Calif.
