MINOT – Barbara J. Gilliam, 87, died on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at her home in Minot. Barbara was born in Mechanic Falls on Nov. 30, 1933, the daughter of Paul and Floris (Hartford) Murray.

Barbara enjoyed shopping, getting her hair done, playing penny-slots, lip-syncing, and especially spending time with her family.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Raymond Gilliam; her parents; her granddaughter Megan Monto; her brothers Bobby Murray, Raymond Murray, and Paul Murray, and her sisters Arlene Dostie, Pauline Hagen, and Shirley Simmons.

She is survived by her sons Gary Monto, Herb Monto, Danny and Toni Monto, Larry Monto and Ray and Tina Gilliam; her sister Doreen Sargent and husband Charlie; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be a private burial, at a later date, at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.
