DAMARISCOTTA — Skidompha Public Library is holding two virtual classes for teens.

A virtual cooking class will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 19, with local Chef Mikael Andersson. Andersson left Sweden in his early 20s, has worked in eateries all over the world, and is now the head chef at Lincoln Academy. He will lead the teens in making crepes with homemade whipped cream and blueberry quick jam.

This class has 10 spots for youth 12-19 years old. Sign up in advance by emailing Sophie Gagnon at sgagnon@skidompha.org, calling 207-563-5513, or stopping in the library.

Skidompha will provide all of the ingredients to make the crepes as well as a cookbook, a set of measuring spoons, measuring cups, two metal bowls, two whisks, and one wooden spatula. These items can be picked up at the library one to two days ahead of the class. Participants will just need to have a 2-quart pot with a thick bottom on hand.

A virtual jewelry-making class will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, with Aboca Beads. Participants can pick up a bracelet kit at the library the week before class. This kit will include everything needed to complete a leather and bead bracelet and a how-to jewelry making book. During the virtual class, Aboca Beads will walk teens through all of the steps to make the bracelet.

The library is located at 184 Main St. The library is open for in-person service from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Cooking and jewelry making supplies can be picked up from its curbside service, available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
