Michael A. MacDonald

LEWISTON – On April 15 2021, Michael A. MacDonald, a loving husband and father passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Michael was born Aug. 23, 1958, in Lewiston to Edmund and Dorothy MacDonald. Michael worked at many various manufacturers in the area. Most recent being Panolam in Auburn.

Michael grew up in Mechanic Falls where he attended Water Street School and Elm Street School. Mike graduated from Edward Little High School, class of ’79.

Michael was a member of many Drum Corps- Scarlet Cadets, Comets and Pine Tree Warriors.

Michael met the love of his life Cindy Strout in 1992 and married in 1994. Together they had Three Beautiful Children: Christina, Brandon, and Bryan.

Michael’s favorite pastime was watching his children play sports, as well as supporting his favorite Football team the Leavitt Hornets. Mike enjoyed hanging out by the fire with his family or listening to live music with friends. Michael was always positive, there with a hug and a kind word. Michael impacted many people’s lives in a positive way and will be missed dearly. He will also be missed by his Husky Aspen.

Michael is survived by his wife of 27 years Cindy MacDonald, daughter Christina and Husband Brian Estes of Gaffney, S.C., son, Bryan MacDonald and girlfriend Sara Roy of Greene, grandchildren, Abigail and Johnathan Michael Estes of Gaffney, S.C.; sister, Mary Louise of Rumford; brother, Peter MacDonald of Greene and wife Jane; a niece he loved like a daughter, Delanie-Rae Strout of Greene; two brothers-in-law, Scott Strout and Wendell Strout of Greene. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Dorothy MacDonald; sister, Marjorie Ann, and son, Brandon MacDonald.

The MacDonald Family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center ICU for the amazing care that was given to Michael.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday April 21, from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m., at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway Lewiston, ME 04240 784-4023. Funeral services will be held at the same location Thursday April 22, at 1 p.m.

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we ask that anyone that attends these services to please wear a mask.
