Keith Furrow of Manchester and Jessica Frost of Livermore wait to turn in paperwork after receiving their Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccination Wednesday at the Boofy Quimby Memorial Center in Turner. Just over 100 people made appointments to get their COVID-19 vaccination Wednesday at the mobile clinic, said Patrick Boland of FEMA. Boland said that he expected about 50 more walk-ins that did not have an appointment. Since the mobile clinic pulled into the Oxford casino on April 12, 5,889 vaccinations have been given to people at the four locations where the clinic set up shop before arriving in Turner, said pharmacist Quynh Tran. “I think every shot is a victory,” said Boland. The clinic is offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and will be at the center from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome, said Boland.
