Eliane I. Rogers

NORWAY – Eliane I. Rogers, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was born on Jan. 15, 1938 in Rock Island, Quebec, Canada. She was the first child of Alfred and Annette Emond. She married Earle C. Rogers in 1962 and they remained together until his death in 1989.

Eliane worked hard most of her life cooking in restaurants throughout the years. She very much enjoyed being around people. She volunteered for the Norway American Legion, the Veterans’ Home in South Paris, and the Norway Fire Department where she was well known for her fish chowder. Two of her main enjoyments were cooking for others and a game of Beano.

Eliane is survived by her children, Irene E. Millett, Michael Lund, Faith Richard, Dawn Delagarza, and Shelley Newcomb and her husband Russell. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as nephews and nieces. In addition, she is survived by her brother, Frank Emond and her sister, Rose Denis. She was predeceased by her sister, Florence Mayberry.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 17 at 2 p.m. at the Pikes Hill Cemetery in Norway.
